SCREW IN CHOKE TUBE
:?:
I HAVE A OCTOGON 45 AND A OCTOGON 357 BOTH WITH SCREW IN CHOKES AND MUZZEL TAMERS.
WHEN I HAVE SHOT THEM THE PAST I ONLY USED 410 SHOT SHELL AND 357 SNAKE SHOTSHELL..
`MY QUESTION`

IF I WANT TO SHOOT NORMAL ROUNDS OUT OF THEM DO I REMOVE THE CHOKE? AND IF I DO WILL THE MUZZEL TAMER STILL WORK WITH NO FROUNT RESTRICTION OF GAS FLOW?? AND WILL THIS MESS UP THE THREADS.?

AND IF I DON'T REMOVE THE CHOKE DOSE THE CHOKE MESS UP THE BULLETS RIFILING TWIST ?OR WILL THE CHOKE CRACK..?

IS THERE SOME KIND OF MUZZEL TAMER THREAD PROTECTOR I CAN BUY? I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY AT THE MAJOR CUSTOM TC SUPPLIERS.

I DONT SHOOT THESE BARRELS TOO MUCH BOUGHT THEM TO HAVE SOME OF THE BASIC ROUNDS I WOULD PROBLY SHOOT THEM MORE IF I DID NOT HAVE THIS CHOKE ISSUE..

SORRY FOR MY LACK OF KNOWING.. I HAVE A HAND FULL OF THESE TYPE QUESTIONS WITCH HAS STOPED ME FROM BUYING BARRELS IN THE PAST. WILL BE ASKING MORE IN THE DAYS TO COME..
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.. :D

Screw-in choke tubes

T/C says REMOVE the choke tube when shooting "normal" rounds. I'm not sure what would happen if you left it in but I'm sure it can't be good. The threads will not be affected in any way.
