I just got some magtech brass 410 shells. I thought i would be able to use mt 45 colt or 444 marlin shell holder, but i was wrong. the 410 rim was too wide to fit in the shell holders.

does anyone know what to correct shell holder is?

the magtech brass shells fit great in my 45/410 contender barrel

rickyp - get one that is made for the 410. I have tried using other than designated shell holders before and sometimes I have problems. The rim on the 410 is pretty thin and if you use a rifle shell holder for a thicker rim you are liable to get cases stuck in your dies when the shellholder tears part of the rim off. HTH. Mikey.

I want to use them for my magtec 410 brass shells. I need a shell holder to deprime using a universal decapper die and reprime the case only. so no worries about getting a case stuck

for what you want to do, take a socket that the base will fit into, take a nail and cut off the head, put it in an elec. drill lay a file on the end and turn it down till it fits the primer hole. With this done put the new primer puncher in and tap with a hammer. No cost involved.

the magtec brass 410 shells use normal large rifle primers.
I can use my universal decapping die and set the case on top of the ram and all is fine. the primer pockets are somewaht tight and a little hard to prime right with out a primer seating
