Side by side double slugs?

I would NOT recommend it and NEVER shoot a sabot in anything not rifled. Your accuracy will be horrible. They would also be tougher on the barrel with a tight choke.

GB is correct!

Not only correct but you could ruin the shotgun. The barrels are designed to hit at a certain point of aim. From that point on the slugs would cross and the groups spread. Up close, probably no concern but the full choke is.

GB is aboslutely correct about no sabots!

I've got a Winchester 1300 smooth bore 20 Ga that shoots sabots like you wouldn't believe! Won't shoot rifled slugs worth a darn. Just remember use an open choke. Check into those Stoeger SBS's I don't know if you can get em in an open choke. They have a web site.

The lever action .44 mag is a great gun. Not really a long range gun but a great whitetail rifle. Would also be great for larger animals like bears. You can never have too many guns!!! :coffee:
