snaring fox and yotes

there are haybales in my field and it recently snowed ...the fox and coyotes are walking around them about every night...assuming they are looking for mice.....could i just hang a snare from the haybale or would this be to obvious,,,and aslo do i have to cover uop my tracks in the snow when leavr...and can you use scent to lure tehm into the snare or not....i need lots of pointers..
