i caught mostly rainbows. i would use a little piece of night crawler on a tiny bright coloured jig and work it about 5or 6 feet of the bottom

Haven't gone yet myself but there has been a report of a sockeye salmon caught with a daredevel !!!!! and I heard that there were a lot of folks catching smelts yesterday on Wood River. We're having great weather for ice fishing. 0 - 10 at night and 15 to 20 day time - clear sunny - bit with a 10-25 mph north wind its chilly.

it was very slow this year in NY.maybe 40 perch all year,4 walleyes,4 salmon,5 lakers,100-150 sunfish.

slowest ice fishing iv seen in awhile...... :(

yep

i slayed the walleys this year and got a few good pike and alot of pickling pike (hammer handle sized)
