Hey all. I got my hands on a sportered 1917 awhile back and been itching to take it deer hunting, well Saturday and Sunday I got my wish. Two coyotes at around 120 yards, and one whitetail doe at 200 . And I am loving this rifle.

Mine is scoped with an old Redfield fixed six with a double horizontal reticle sight the one dead center across at a hundred, the lower one puts you right on at 250. But I have shot one with the original rear sight and yes tthey are great

I'm hunting with my 1917 this year. I put a 3x9 scope on it and have shot 3 coyotes so far this deer season. They are great rifles. FBC
