This has probably been asked here before but I couldn't find it.

I have a remington 870 turkey gun that I bought modified and imp cylinder tubes to use in it for shooting other game. The tubes are marked "Not for steel". What damage will occur if I do go out and duck hunt and shoot 8-10 shots thru it? Some wear down of the tube?

Haven't been able to find steel shot tubes in my area yet.

turkeycreek, I don't think I would shoot steel through it if it says not for steel....perhaps the metal isn't as strong as a steel shot choke tube, and if it's a little too tight (constriction), it may passably damage the threads on the choke or barrel it self. There must be a reason the company that made the choke put that warning on it.
I have a mossberg 835,for which I bought several chokes for,including a turkey choke which says for lead shot only.the full choke has for lead shot only, the mod,imp Cly,is OK for steel.
It maybe OK to shoot some through it but, I would just get a choke that you know you can.

Not worth a damaged gun.

I don't know what it would do but nothing positive I am sure.
