Can't believe there is still no Black Mag 3 available in the St. Louis area. You would think the company would have put together some distributors by now. I wonder what the hold up might be?

If there was a demand for it, I am sure it would be more available. I know a lot of muzzleloader shooters and hunters and also a lot of black powder cartridge shooters and no one is really interested in the Black Mag 3. The black powder cartridge shooters use just that "black powder" and triple7 and pyrodex is the choice of the muzzleloader shooters I know. Good luck in your search. :D

I am one of the few who has tried Black Mag' 3 and I am a convert. My Father in law drove by a Cabelas and brought me 3 pounds which is enoughn to shoot for a long time. In my omega it is accurate and very clean.

BlackMag3

I, too, am a convert. I have run everything out there thru my Omega and WITHOUT a doubt, BlackMag3 is the best by far. NO crud ring like Pyrodex and others and accuracy is all 'center ring'.

I also shoot a Navy .36 B&C and use BlackMag3 with great success.

From all the posts I have read, it appears that guys with those 'other brand' weapons do not have the success we T/C Omega shooters have. No conversion of the primer or cutting of the barrel is needed, just load and shoot.

So for me: give me a T/C Omega and BlackMag3.

Of course, this is only MY opinion.

Black Mag'3 shoots great out of my .50 stainless Omega also. It is much better than the second best whatever that might be. I think Pioneer is the closest second and Triple Seven is dead last in my Omega. I have some Pinacle from Goex but the first few shots were not very impressive. I need more time with that powder before making a final decision. I have five pounds of it so I will have a lot of shooting to do. I also have a T/C Hawken which I have not had time to shoot much as I just got it used as a .54 and added a drop in .50 barrel from Green Mountain. Will post results as I get time to shoot. I have been communicating with Magkor and trying to get them to tie up with Sportsmans Warehouse as they are stationed in the western states where Cabelas is not. We are getting a Cabelas in Phoenix but that will be a year away at the earliest. I like Sportsmans Warehouse better than Cabelas anyway as Cabelas is usually the highest price on anything I check.
