Well chalk up another one for NYC Hear in NYC you need a purchase order for any handgun you want to buy and they are no longer giving them out for the t/c encore or contender. They are now illegal hear in NYC . do to the fact that the barrels and calibers can be changed . My local shop owner said he heard something to this nature and told me to check it out before i do any ordering. And i am glad i did. For you guys hear in NYC this comes fro m the purchase order dept iin NYPD headquarters at one police plaza. I spoke with the Sgt. in charge and there memo on the encore just came in with in the last two weeks. So no deer shooting for me in Dutchess county i guess i'll still have to hunt them.This is a big let down as i was really into getting the encore pistol. I will be writing alot of letters and sending alot of e-mails and hope many of you do the same. Maybe we'll get lucky and the rule could be changed sometime in the future.

I think the people from the rural areas and small towns need to band together and form new states. Here in MN our metro area controls a greater portion of the politics. I have seen a few people in the rural areas starting to refuse permission to hunt on there land to people from the metro area. This is a start but more has to come from it. It aint Yanks verses Rebs, it's Urban verses rural.

billy 56081 you hit the nail on the head, can anybody explain to me why people move from urban areas to rural areas and then try to make the rural areas just like the area they left? It is one of lifes big mysteries. Of course the deal with the Encore has nothing to do with that it is just the anit-gun crowd trying to knock another hole in the second amendment. I can't imagine that an Encore is the weapon of choice for any violent criminal and who cares if you have 50 barrels for it you can only use one at a time and only one round at a time. But folks hold on because unless we band together and get away from this sporting vs nonsporting BS it is only going to get worse.

Dream on. In order to form a new state the people of the existing state and of the new states must approve the division. The urban areas have us by the short hairs and there is no way they intend to 'let our people go'.
