Hey guys I am just writing to find out if I can remove my 28" flintlock barrel off my penn hunter and replace the flintlock with a t/c hawken percussion lock as well as the hawken barrel without having to do any work to the stock. The reason I want to do this is because I like the way the penn hunter stock fits and if I can use the same stock for both barrels and locks why not. So I am looking for some comments and suggestions or even personal experiences if anybody else has tried this. Thanx John

jrkrk,
I read your questions, then went to T/C,s site to look at the Penn.(i never had one)

The common perc. lock used for the Hawkin and Renegade is different. :(
(these I have had)
The Penn. has a purty front on it,where the commnon T/C lock is round.

I'm sure someone has done just that. But it's not a "drop-in", It would take some lock and new barrel work, best guess, about $300 parts.

T/C won't tell ya (why would they want too?) But they'll sell ya another gun.
see my point?
Let's see what others say,

jrkrk John is right. It will not be a drop in and most likely you would have to do some lock inletting to accommodate your new lock for the percussion barrel.

The best thing to do is call Fox Ridge outfitters at 1-800-243-4570 and see if they have anything that would work, or some other options available to you. They are T/C's warranty shop and Custom Shop. They can be quite helpful.
