Got it back again from Taurus. Replaced trigger-hammer-cylinder lock. Locks up ok now, still has way too much play in the cylinder but they did fix the lock problem. Good news---traded my Taurus for a Winchester 101 Field Grade O/U 12 gauge to a guy at work today. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

you should have done what I did, beg for mercy and pity

I swear, it worked the first time, did you read that post on one of your older threads??

anyways, glad you're happier now, three trips and paying for shipping three times is rediculous anyways.

and trading .357 up to 12ga isn't really gonna hurt either (cheaper ammo if storebought)

I kick myself for that now (not getting the 608 but getting rid of another gun to finance that), I traded off a good 20ga to get my 608 and now I wish I had a gun that eats cheap ammo, shotgun is still cheap (box of 100 for about $20 in MO)

101 is a 1968 field grade model and was originally owned by a guy I knew in Ohio.My friend got it when he passed away in 1979 and now I have it. Gun shop says it is worth 1500-2000 dollars!!!!!!! Pretty decent trade.... ;D I reload all my shotgun ammo,,,,

I don't know what to think, I've never had anything but an 870, a huge twelve gauge and a youth size twenty gauge

I don't think I paid over five hundred for both combined.. so I don't even know what it feels like to shoot a "nice" or auto-loading shotgun

enjoy

made anything particularly sick with your handloads? I was thinking about starting on shotshells but I decided on 45-70 due to some of the ballistic/performance preferences of mine and I'm already set up for metallic loading. I've heard handloading shotshells isn't much cheaper than buying bulk ammo (probably a lot better patterns though???)

;D Not my boss and he is kinda just a distant friend/we discussed this deal prior and I told him the 101 was a nice piece but he wanted the 608 bad so,,,,,,,,,,,,,and he knew the history behind it with it being from a friend in Ohio and me shooting it when I was a kid and he just never used it or really cared about money or even having it I guess. To him it was a good deal so the rest is history. Now if I can just find a Citori to trade for my other 608,,,, ::) ::) ::)
