Attention: Jerry Thomas, Ottawa City Police
Re: Freedom and Liberty Demonstration, Wednesday 01Jan03 to Friday 03Jan03

Please find attached a copy of our revised Itinerary.

Our purpose is to demonstrate the inane nature of the Firearms Act.

We plan to do this by burning our firearms licenses and registration
certificates, conducting an auction of unregistered firearms, and
swapping firearms.

Everything we do will be done peacefully and non-violently.

We leave for Ottawa Friday, 27Dec02 and expect to arrive Monday, 30Dec02.

My cell phone number while in route is 1-306-230-8929.

In Ottawa we will be staying at the Residence Inn, phone number:
1-613 231-2020.

We expect between twenty and a hundred people at the different venues.

Looking forward to the repeal of the Firearms Act in the New Year.

Sincerely,

Edward B. Hudson DVM, MS

The CUFOA convoy pulled into Cochrane, Ontario very late last night with
very tired but still very enthusiastic, committed travelers.
At 9 AM this morning they began the final leg of their journey to
Ottawa. They are planning to arrive at 7 PM where they will be met by
fellow demonstrators from Quebec, Nova Scotia, and the city of Ottawa.
Lydia, the newest CUFOA member from Dryden, On., wants to send a
personal message to our prime minister; "Mr. Chretien, I will never
register my fire arms." Lydia's full name and address will be posted on
the steps of parliament on New Year's day Wed. noon 01 Jan. 03.

Good for you guys!

Glad to hear that you are doing something and I support your effort. Sometimes the oppressed have to draw the battle lines and make a stand.

Hope that it goes well for you and you are successfull.

Our fearless leader was arrested for having a gun in a public place (in fact it was a just a reciever) He was not charged under the firearms act. The police may have been instructed Not to lay a charge under the act.
The effect was not as great as hoped.
Next rally is in Toronto, and shaping up to be much larger. I'm hoping to be there.
