Roan Mountain Tennessee today. This picture was taken near the summit at 1 o'clock today. Temperatures in the 50's on the mountain but near 70 in the valley below.

Concrete trucks have come a long ways over the years. The one I'm currently driving is a 2018 Peterbilt. Most of the braking can be done with the engine brake. This one with the computer controlled automatic can almost come to a complete stop at a red light without touching the brakes. Just a few taps of the brake on most of the steep mountain roads around here.
