Back near the summit of Mt Mitchell today. Cloudy and overcast and the temperature was 73 degrees. Even with all the cloud cover, I still think it's one of the best views that I know of. I could be a lil biased though cause this is where I come from.
Had this view Friday morning 9/16. From the Little Switzerland area of Mitchell county. There was more to this view but in the posted pictures you can clearly see TableRock and you are looking towards the Boone area just past the skyline.
About as colorful as it gets. Caught this just before sunset. They're not hanging around long this year after they change. Coming down quick. My phone camera didn't do justice for the real color but you get the idea hopefully.
Took these this morning from a place called The Boulders just outside of Hendersonville NC this morning. Looking back towards the city of Hendersonville.
Took these yesterday in the Petersburg community which is between Mars Hill and Marshall on hwy 213. Looking back towards Leicester and Hot Springs area.
