About 5 months ago I recieved my new Reeder sixgun in 475 Linebaugh and thought I would share my thoughts and experience with this new gun. First off fit, finish, and function was outstanding. The trigger is great and breaks clean and crisp and the gun routinely shoots 1.5" groups at 25yds with open sights. I can consitently break 3-4" baloons out to 60yds with the shallow v-notch gold bead sight system on this gun. My favorite feature of this gun is Reeder's gunfighter grip, this grip fits my hand perfectly and helps to control the recoil of this hard kicking caliber. The recoil is directed back into the meaty part of the palm and is quite manageable from the bags and not bothersome at all offhand. In fact I have routinely put 50 or more rounds through it from the bench and have suffered no ill effects. I am burning through some ammo I purchased loaded with Hornady's 400gr XTP and when this is gone I will start developing a load that will shoot a 385-410gr cast bullets at around 1000fps.
If anyone is considering a Reeder revolver I highly reccomend his work and his customer service.
