It's been almost two years since I ordered a new USFA single action in 45 with a 4 3/4 inch barrel. So after playing with it this long, here is my opinion on mine.
This has to be one of the best replicas I've ever owned. Timing is still perfect, gun is still tight, shoots where I point it. I didn't have to change anything the factory had in there, but did install
a Wolf hammer spring (this is not a real light spring compared to some out there, but just noticeable) Put a Heine trigger/bolt spring in it (wire type) and that worked out real well even though I did not have an action job. Polished the hand up. I didn't have to do any of these things, the gun was fine the way it was, I just did it to make it smoother, but it was OK the way it was.
I've been having quite a love affair with this little replica, and the best part of all this is this one shot close enough to the point of aim (right/left) where I didn't have to do a thing to it.
Shooting 250/255 gr bullets at approx 900 fps it hits almost dead on height wise for normal handgun ranges, the groups will creep up higher with lighter loads which is fine.
I was so happy with this replica shooting to point of aim I emailed USFA and thanked them for the job they did, and gave special thanks to whoever regulated the sights at the shop.
To my surprise they gave me a reply, told me they were glad I'm enjoying the gun and hoped I'd enjoy it for years to come, and told me they would post my comments on the shop board.
I'm having quite a love affair with this replica after a couple of years, it's showing some holster faint holster wear/handling wear now and I'm glad I didn't order the "aged" model, I think if I live long enough I can make this one look like that anyway.

Just thought I'd share my experience with the first USFA I purchased.

I'll bet they didn't post MY comments on the employee bulletin board after mine had to go back TWICE for the same problem which came with it right out of the box!!

I can relate to having problems with new Guns Dusty, USFA I'm sure is not immune from this either. I just hope the customer service was good. Was it?
I hope they squared you away real quick.
