I'm trying to determine why we see such a spread on the H&R 300 BLK Handi.

Here's one for $360:

Then here's one for $212:

GaG also has them for $216 + a remarkable $5.99 shipping:

and $237??

Local to me, at the Outdoorsman, they're asking $380

It seemed at one point a few online vendors were selling one labeled at the "H&R" at a lower price than the labeled "AAC".

Whatcha think?

Thanks, Dinny

I passed up a new 300 blk for $200 out the door including tax. Gun store said it was at his cost. He was just trying to get ride of it. Can't remember if it said AAC or not. At one time Budds had 2 blacks listed for 2 different prices. One cheaper one was for there members. But there was 2 different stock numbers.

too many folks in the "gun" business now
all trying to get rich "online" (but way too late)
just as folks trading in antique tea cups, or
old quilts, etc. that are all screwing up the
true value of most any item these days.
there's quite a few in my area that will likely get
an official visit one of these days.

Buds has dropped the price back down to $222 shipped. (They were $240 last I checked.) As the the wide variety of prices: If I recall correctly MSRP on the AAC version is $380. Some stores are still looking to get MSRP and some have steeply discounted them because they have been discontinued.

Is an AAC different than a H&R in the 300?

Someone wrote why there was two... But NO there is only the AAC. The 300 Black out is there baby. :)

To add to that

H&R only ever had one 300 BLK chambered rifle and that was the AAC model/SKU we are discussing here

The only thing AAC about the rifle was the chamber dimensions and the AAC logo engraved on the side. This engraving is sometimes very faint due to... well I have my rants about that but I won't go into it here :) I've seen a few that made it into stores that you'd never know it was there unless you were looking for it. So I could see how people would get confused and assume there was an H&R model and a separate AAC model, that or the other very real possibility someone put the barrel on a non-engraved frame.

I think this has come up before and may add to the confusion but Buds had two different listings for 300 BLK. The first link below is for the AAC 300 BO and the second listing is for the H&R 300 BO. Buds lists two different order numbers but they both have the same UPC:[/color] 736008724302

I think that is the cause of the confusion. As you mentioned the actual guns are the same with the same UPC and identical specs.
