I sold my .454 and bought a New Vauqero. I have a good supply of 340gr WFP hard cast left over and wondered if anyone knows if I can use these in my Ruger. I,m not looking for a hot load, just a low/med carry load. I may hay to melt them down and buy a new mold, shame though there very nice hard cast from TN Valley bullets. Any help.

That is a 'Ruger only' load

and the new model Vaqueros won't take it,IMHO.
At least that is how I read the data on the Hodgdon website in the 'Ruger only' section.

Still looking for a slow load for these. I will not push my new V. above normal. I have plenty other handguns for that. The 340 WFP's I have are cast very hard by a west TN caster. ( hard enough that a finger nail will not scratch them) I can buy a mold and recast them at a lower grain, but would love to "salvage" them.

GOD bless America, W. and GITMO.
