What's the best "bang for the buck" on recent milsurp 8mm Mausers? I've heard the Russian captured k98's are just so much spare parts. I'd like to know which are the good buys out there. Looking for a good, strong 8x57 surplus shooter. Thanks

The best buy 8MM I would say is the yugo preduzece 44 8mm mauser it was assembled by the yugo's with german 98 parts so its really a german 98. There are a lot of these fine 98's popping up in pawn shops and gun shops I'm seeing more and more the only thing is the price is higher $100 up to $200 range but well worth it. Its as close to a german mauser as I will ever get. You may find one cheaper you just never know. Now there are other good buys too the 8MM Turkish mauser $39.95 I got a real nice one lastyear. Email me at home I have more to tell you. BigBill
