I finally had a chance to shoot my latest 1885, in 17HMR. This rifle was courtesy of my stimulus check. I have had mixed results with the 17 in the past. All is forgiven, this rifle will be present at many sage rat funerals! I only had one box of ammunition, CCI 17VMAX, guess I need look no further.

A 1885 low wall or hi wall in any caliber is just a great rifle. I own several and every time I pick one up I have to open the action and marvel at the genius that designed it.
Glad you found a good use for your stimulus, I did the same but bought several guns .

That’s a gun that’s been on my wish list since I got my Browning 1885 270W.
Got any pics? Is it scoped?

Cheers, Scott.

Sorry Scott, I am unable to send pictures so far with this windows 10. It has been a problem from the start. I do have a scope on my 17, a Bushnell Banner 4-12X40 AO. I have four other Low Walls, a 22LR, 22Mag, both Winchester. I have two Brownings, 22 Hornet and 223 Remington. I lucked into a Winchester High Wall in 22-250. I decided that an inheritance was better invested in firearms that I can use than sitting in a bank.
