I have this .375,like it and am curious about some of the screwholes.
It has 4 drilled and tapped holes on the left side,2 forward(one is much bigger in diameter) and 2 more to the rear.
Are these done at the factory?
Was it supplied with a factory mount?
Just curious.
Thanks all,Jeff.

Winchester Big Bore 94 .375

The Winchester M94 Big Bore in .375 Winchester first came out in the late 1970's before the Angle Eject model. I've never seen one with factory-drilled telescope mounts holes.

If yours has the four drilled and tapped holes you described, it was likely modified for a side-mounted Weaver tip-off telescope (popular for the top-eject M1894).

The holes are factory. The large one on the left front is the bolt stop screw (I think that is what it is called) and there should be a larger head screw in it.

The two on the left rear are for a receiver (peep) sight. The Williams FP works perfectly there. If you get thet one, make sure it says it's for the Big Bore model. There are 2 different versions.
