Winchester M320 22 LR. What is the story be

The only thing my gun guide said was it was made 1972 to 74 and is the same as the model 310 single shot only the 320 has a 5 shot clip. Will shoot shorts longs and long rifles. The example I seen in the book does not look like it is set up like a target rifle but then that does not mean that it will not shoot well. It looks like a good rifle. The gun Guide I was looking at was a 1992 edition and listed the rifle in excellent condition at 175.00 and of course that is a 1992 price so I would guess it would be a bit higher by now and of course you would have to determine what shape your gun is in. It does not give any other specifics. You might try emailing the current Company and asking them if they would have any info for you. Even though they did not make it they still might have some info on it. Jim

Winchester M320 22 LR. What is the story be

Jerman,

I have a 320 that I bought new in '73 for $42. It has been said that the gun was designed and made in Australia by the same gentleman that started the Kimber gun company. The way I understand it is the barreled action was produced in Australia and then Winchester installed the stock here in the states. The last I knew they were selling for $300 - $350. The one I have is an accurate rifle but I wouldn't necessarily say that it is as accurate as a 541S. Overall I personally believe they are an excellent rifle if I could find another for the right price now I would buy it. The only drawback is that I don't know where you can find any parts for them if needed.
