I recently ordered an encore rifle in 300WM I really wanted a rynite stock. The dealer couldn't find a distributor that had rynite stock and forend in that cal. We had already agreed on a price and although everywhere I checked wood was more expensive, he agreed not to raise the price for wood.

I welcome the opinions of those who have Encore rifles as to the pro's con's and weight of wood vs. rynite and anuy other imput. Thanks

I am old fashioned. I like the looks and feel of wood stocks. I don't buy into the wood affecting groups that much because of changing with the weather. Just my opinion though.

I have both, maybe I just havent given it a chance yet, but the Rynite seems awfully cheap and tacky to me. I'm pretty sure I'll be replacing this with Pachmyar Decelarator.

i have all three, my vote goes for the laminate wood,

rynite stocks

Well if you wish Bullberry has the rynite stocks for the Encore and the contender, With hanger or factory setup for very good prices
I think the forend is just $20.00 or so
If you want the rynite get one from him.

I STRONGLY second that! Doubt if you'll find any stronger. However, if
you first find that you are having accuracy problems because of the present
forearm, you can order a hanger bar & forearm from Virgin Valley. Get the
buttstock from Boyds, and order a laminated forearm from VVCG with the
hanger bar. (I'm pretty sure they get their forearms from Boyds, but the
forearm must have accurate routing done on it to accept the hanger bar.)

Going to shoot tommorrow.

My uncle already had an encore frame so we ordered a 300 WM barrel, Rynite stock and forend from Ed's. Mine is still enroute as had to go through an ffl dealer. We are taking his to the range tommorrow. I am now being told mine will be here between wed and friday. It will be exactly the same as his except walnut. I didn't get any responses on my factory ammo post so I went with Federal premium 180 grain Nosler Partition. Have always had good luck with Fed in other calibers and Noslers are a known excellent elk bullet. I sure hope they group as I bought 4 boxes from the same lot (didn't make Wallmart happy matching the numbers). Thanks for the responses. JMC
