Glad to hear ya had a good one. Now I've shot with the Marshall and he can shoot but then again he may have sand bagged ya first time out and all.
We held our first Sunday shoot today also the dat was cold and windy as only the mouth of the Thompson River can be, which is bout 300 days a year. But we Cowboy'd Up and had a blast. Charlie Bull
It's a wonder we didn't break your camera, Butler. So, what happened to the dress picture? I hate to say it, but I'm curios. My wife thought that was hillarious! Y'all should have hung around, though. Believe it or not(and I DON'T! ) I actually took 1st place Blackpowder! So y'all come on down to the Saloon, the drinks are on me!
Sorry to be so late checking in pards but I've been in mucho pain. Stayed on my feet too long and I have bad feet which really lay me out in pain from standing that long. That was bad enough but the back went out on me again which is a pretty common occurence really. Took a pain pill and went to bed. Pain is better. Not gone but better.
Had a great time. Nice bunch of pards up there today. Can't say the same for the weather. It was not nice. Cold, wet and windy and me totally unprepared for such weather made for a cold wet day for this old fat boy.
Congratulations on your first place in BP category Holiday. I did take first place overall didn't I? :-D Or was it last place? Pretty sure it was one of those, just can't seem to recall which.
Dang Bronco pulled the stunt it did on the ill fated Colorado trip on the way back up the hill to Grant. It almost didn't make it back over the top. Dunno what's wrong but for some reason it just lost power and almost didn't get over. That was supposed to have been fixed but obviously isn't.
Thanks to all who had a part in helping me get ready for the first shoot. Will try to have more to say tomorrow. Back is still hurting pretty bad and walking isn't fun rat now. Gonna retire back to my recliner real soon or to bed if it don't ease up some more.
Butler, what kinda spell did you cast on that camera to make a slim trim fellow like me look so fat? :-D
glad yall had a fine time. happy for the 1st place--sorry about the aches and pains. been thinkin about that picture---would loved to have said yall did'nt look as i thought you might---but---well--er-well-------i mean-well---aw shucks---just as i suspected---sorry.
Can't wait to hear about your impressions of your first shoot. Hope the back gets better.
Know my feet hurt in boots. Do try to take a break now and then and sit a bit on the gun cart. Even a short break helps me.
The first one's always the hardest. Now that you've got it out of the way you can start having fun. Mighty rough looking bunch you partnered up with there. Hope you kept a close eye on your horse and tack, and didn't let them teach you any bad habits.
Lady Graybeard, it was a pleasure and and honor. I hope y'all come back and visit us real soon. Marshall, I'm sorry to hear about your problems. All that standing around is bad on the old back. Next time ya might want to try to find a comfortable lawn chair to bring along. It might help if ya could stay off your feet a little more. As to the comments of the rest of you scalawags, I would like to say that they are exagerations and false hoods, but unfortunately they seem to be right on the money! :-D Y'all need to try and make it down this way in October for our Ambush at Cavern Cove. We put on a pretty good event, and y'all are all invited!
Thank you for the name Lady Graybeard. I think that will go along with Marshal Graybeard. I really enjoyed myself even though it was cold and wet. Deb and I missed the part where Butler and Marshal were wearing dresses. I hope next time I will get to see it. :-D
I hope that we will get to come in October for the Ambush at Cavern Cove.
