Just Curious, Does anyone still have a Erma or (Ithica 72) lever action 22 and is it still working? Since it is the forunner of the Henry 22 I was just wondering if there are any out there still being used?

hey i had a ithaca for years and never had any trouble with it. it was very accurate even with the fairly coarse sights. was a very pretty gun but someone had refinished it with a high gloss on the wood. wasnt really thrilled with the aluminum receiver that it had. had some kind of a finish on it that had worn down to show the aluminum. recently sold it to finace a marlin 39 a. guy i sold it too loves it.
I bought one new back in the early to mid 80's. I've never fired it. I bought a Sako 78 also in .22 LR at the same time and just never got around to it. Its still in the box.
Darn thats gun abuse not using a gun and leaving the poor thing stuck in a box some where . Just kidding but my ideas of guns are to shoot them. Jim
I bought one a couple of years ago for $75.00 in very good shape. That thing shoots exceptionally well even with the coarse sights. It is very compact, light and handy. It'll make a great 4 wheeler gun back home for varmints and targets of opportunity. Great gun.
